i have finally created the head sketch for my 3rd character, i decided to change the hair style, from a shaved head to short hair that sticks up at the top and brushed back on the sides.
this character has an average build, a bit of muscle. he travels a lot, that is how he survived in this post-apocalyptic world, he owns a motorbike and that is how he travels.

after the practice head sketch i decided i needed to look at the structure of faces a bit more, so i googled male heads/faces that looked similar to the descriptions of my characters written designs and managed to get sketches for my 1st and 2nd character ideas.
this face sketch is for my 2nd character, hes the serious type who doesnt mess around. if he gets in a fight he will win, he has built his body to win. he doesnt like to travel too much but will when necessary. what i didnt include in the picture, he has a bit of facial hair, a bit of stubble. on his chin, upper lip, neck and even on the top of his head.he has a serious expression, and a serious attitude.
no background yet.
clothing: durable steel toe capped boots, denim jeans, leather jacket, regular T-shirt. clothes are dirty and slightly worn down. looks like a biker, doesnt ride a bike.
this face sketch was for my 1st character, this guy is a lonely person. he lives in a deserted area, surrounded by scraps. he built his own shelter from metal car parts and other things. he hasnt interacted with another human for a long time. due to this fact he has gone a bit insane. he spends most of his day making his shelter more sturdy to stop anyone getting in, and spends most of the night watching out for "intruders", he barely sleeps.
clothing: sensible work shoes, formal trousers, long sleeve shirt, v neck jumper. his clothes are dirty and his trousers are worn down at the bottom, his sleeves are torn from all the metal he handles, so he rolls them up.
as for my 3rd character, i have yet to create a head sketch for him.

i have received a project to do over my summer break, for this project i have to create a character that inhabits a post apocalyptic world. the character is not allowed to know what caused said apocalypse but can have his/her idea of what happened, whether that story is true or not, no one knows. the event which caused the apocalypse must not include aliens, zombies or rage infected zombies.
here is a screen shot of a few notes i made on my desktop for the project:
i have made small descriptions for world scenarios and characters, also a little checklist to keep myself on track.
i have started to practice with sketching faces and bodies here:
i need more practice..
i want my character to be male so have only made written designs for male characters, as for names i do not know yet. im still at the early stage of this project but am enjoying it so far.
